This renovation centers around a bold, sculptural black volume that anchors the space with quiet strength. The glossy surfaces, precise lines, and seamless cabinetry create a refined minimalist aesthetic, while the mirrored copper backsplash expands the visual depth and reflects the warm tones of the surrounding wood textures. The interplay between matte and reflective finishes adds subtle sophistication, enhancing the clean geometry of the island and the integrated cooktop and sink. From a construction standpoint, the project combines high-end design with strategic, cost-efficient solutions. The kitchen base, originally from IKEA, was fully re-engineered and upgraded to achieve a premium, custom-built look. The countertops and integrated work surfaces were finished in black quartz, bringing durability and a polished, luxurious feel. Water-resistant floating floor panels were installed throughout the main level to ensure long-lasting performance and visual coherence. Copper-tinted mirrors amplify the sense of space, while new drywall work refined the transitions and helped create the monolithic black feature that defines the room. Soft, indirect lighting highlights each detail—from the illuminated staircase to the warm wood dining area—achieving a harmonious flow that connects all spaces with clarity and intention.
